Macro photography, simply put, is close-up photography. This usually requires a special lens that is optimized to focus sharply on a small area. What I love about macro photography is that it allows us see an entirely different world that is filled with an abundance of detail that usually goes unnoticed by the naked eye. (more…)

In the mid 80′s we bought our first computer. It was an Apple IIc. I have very fond memories of playing games, writing basic programs, and creating graphics while staring at it’s small green monochrome monitor. Even though I was very young at the time, I believe our Apple helped send me down the path to becoming a web designer. Tilt-shift photography refers to giving the subject of a photo a miniature look or toy-like appearance.
