Gogs is your free self-hosted Git Service

Git users are sure to be familiar with the intial setup requirements on any new server. This may be worthwhile or even fun for some developers – but others just want to get the job done right.

Gogs(Go Git Service) is a new self-hosted Git service made for this exact reason. You can install it by running a binary or by installing from a package. It’s completely cross-platform and even open source on GitHub.

If you need something incredibly simple and reliable for Git then Gogs is the way to go. You’ll save yourself a lot of time and major headaches trying to setup Git on a variety of environments.

At the moment Gogs is in beta, although tested across many different OS environments it seems stable. You can read more from the GitHub documentation along with notices and major features.
