25 Examples of Dark and Inspiring Web Designs
Last week we showcased here 25 Fresh Examples of Minimalist Web Designs, where most of the examples were based on light colors and a few colorful elements. This week on the other hand, we decided to gather a list of dark web designs to show that dark colors, if well mixed and matched, can result in inspiring and beautiful websites.

May 16, 2011Nice collection, thank you, although I wouldn’t describe Ketch Studio’s website as “dark”.

May 17, 2011Dark backgrounds are cool-looking but usually hard to read if there is much copy at all.

May 17, 2011Gisele, nice collections of both light and dark site designs. I tend to prefer the bright, but see the need to go dark at times, too.

May 18, 2011My favourite articles are design inspiration ones and this one has really helped me out. I always struggle with darker designs. I tend to find when you put colour against black it can make a website look cheap, but all the above look really professional. I like visualise, which is also a great example of responsive web design. I like the colours used in riot and Peter Cains portfolio site, which I’ve come across before. It is definitely worth taking a peep at.
