Inspiring Android App Websites

Last week we showcased here 21 Beautiful iPhone App Websites and I received several requests for a list showing examples of Android app websites. Last week I even added a note at the end of the article asking for suggestions of well designed Android related websites because I imagined our readers would be interested in seeing some websites designed for Android apps. Unfortunately I didn’t receive many suggestions, but I searched around and found a few really nice examples to show you. Some websites are dedicated only to Android apps, other are for both Android and iPhone, and I added those so we could have more examples.

I believe that since Android developers don’t have as many rules, standards and demands to follow to develop an app, they don’t worry that much about delivering a neat website for their apps because they focus on the app itself, but this is only my opinion. A lot of highly recognized Android apps don’t even have a website, they have Twitter pages, Facebook pages, etc, so this is why I couldn’t find a lot of examples to show here. Let us know your thoughts on this iPhone/Android app websites design difference.

Nice list. Although, Foodster doesn’t appear to be an actual app. Or if it was, it no longer exists. The Google Play links on the site are broken and a search in for ‘foodster’ in the Market returns nothing.

Nice list. What is intriguing is that all of these example display 2-3 phones in their website. I guess its a must to showcase a phone for visualisation though.

What do you think about a design that doesn’t show the phone?

Or maybe one that has a phone sketched out instead of taking a picture of the actual phone.
