WDL Premium: Beautiful Splatters

With this set of brushes I really wanted to do something that would combine mediums. At the moment I’m really into unique brushes that are more than just drips or splatters. So I started with India Ink and a dropper on Bristol Board (I headed outside for this portion). Holding the dropper a couple of feet above the Bristol Board I dripped ink to create the splatters. Applying a little force to the drips created some really nice effects.

The splatters were then scanned and vectorized in Adobe Illustrator. The vector lines and swirls were added in Illustrator using custom brushes. I then brought the vectors over to Photoshop to create the brush set.
