A few weeks ago, we showcased web designs that made use of the color yellow. Along those same lines, this week we are focusing on another warm and bold color, one that definitely has lots of impact. This inspirational showcase is all about the color red. Red can have several meanings, and a few of them even contradict one another, such as love and anger. A few weeks ago for our Monday inspiration I posted a collection of yellow web designs. So today, we’ll focus on it’s neighbor on the color wheel…green. Although some shades of green can be considered warm, it is a cool color that is primarily used for its calming attributes much like blue, and like blue, green is often associated with nature. Gradients are a great way to add interest, color, and even depth to a web design. You can use the same color in many shades, many shades of many colors or several other combinations you may think of. You can go linear or radial. The point is that gradients are beautiful and can give your website a very unique style. You can use a cool gradient for the whole website design, or only in the header, footer or just in a couple elements of it, but I’m pretty sure about one thing: combining the right colors and shades will make you a gradient lover! You will start using gradients all over, maybe even at your dinning room wall.
