Theme Trust Launches
Just over 2 years ago, I left my full time job as a web designer to go freelance, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been a wonderful ride up to this point, as I’ve been able to work on many exciting client projects and start several of my own ventures, one of which has become my full time job. With WDL being my main focus for the past year, I’ve had little time to do much design work. I miss designing and I miss providing clients with awesome websites. So, in an effort to fill this design void, I’ve started a small WordPress theme shop called Theme Trust, and today the doors are opening for business.
To celebrate the launch, we are offering a special promotion that gives you a 30% discount on any theme. Just enter the code “launch” at checkout to receive the discount. This special is only good for 1 week, and will expire on August 30, 2010.

I did have one question. In ‘Leverage’, the search button on the Blog page is down below the search bar. Did you mean to put it there or is it supposed to be to the right of the search bar?

August 24, 2010It looks like it does the same in IE as well. If you set the margin of the search input box to 5 instead of 10, I believe that will fix it.

August 24, 2010How does this affiliate program work? Does it mean someone creates a theme and then sells it via themetrust?
If so, would 30% not be an extremely low cut, if a theme builder is doing all the work? Not even Apple is that greedy.
By the way, the service does look great.

August 26, 2010The Pure theme is a really nice design. I’m soon to be a freelancer again after working for a company, so i’m going to have a go a designing a theme of my own.

August 26, 2010I think these are fine themes, though maybe about a notch above some free ones we see on Smashing Magazine. Not yet to the level of RocketTheme.
One issue I have with ‘Premium’ themes is that they give you a news page, maybe a contact page, and another page.
Most of them are missing pages like archives, categories, author, etc. I’d like to see more theme desginers go the extra step and create these sub-pages.
Still, I applaud and envy anyone who can go out on their own.
