Sketch Constraints plugin delimits layer boundaries

A brand new open source plugin named Sketch Constraints has been officially released on GitHub. This integrates freely with Sketch to manage certain limitations on individual layers.

This may sound like an odd idea to particularly limit a layer in your file. The purpose is to manage alignments relative to other elements, or relative to the edge of a document.

You’ll find plenty of info + sample screenshots on the GitHub repo.

Everything can me managed through a parent layer which can affect child layers. The Constraints plugin remains consistent with hierarchy so you’ll want to pay attention to how you’re manipulating elements in the file.

The plugin is still in active development so you should expect many updates over the next few months/years.

To download a copy visit Sketch Constraints on GitHub and try it out for yourself.
