Great list! The effective use of texture can really give depth to a website. Mix this with good photography and typography, and you have a killer combination. We used the texture of smoke on our site.

Not only have you shared with us 50 inspiring examples of textures but you have shown us a collection of amazing examples of websites. I really like the e-One site, to pick a clear winner is very hard, the level of design and layout in each site makes it choice. Thanks for the inspiring post, it definitely was inspiring.

Cool, I really like textures, infact I also do use them in my web-site.
Be careful with the total size of the page though! I had to do a lot of optimization and base64 encoding to get an average good loading speed.

I’ve used texture, or we have a template that was fitted with a texture and I just love the effect and dimension that is gives a flat page. This is a great list and really diverse examples of ow they can be used. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for featuring my site. Were very proud of it. Steve Mullen did a fantastic job and it was well worth the investment.
I wanted awesome textures and a modern/hip look and feel. Most recording engineer sites look like something made on geocities in the early 90’s when HTML was young and full of energy.
I didn’t want to portray some 80’s burnout engineer with a crappy looking site. So we came together and this is the result of our brainstorming and his fantastic web design skills.
