A website can hold lots of information, so a big issue is making sure the most important information gets the attention it needs. A good solution to this is using a slideshow on the home page to highlight featured content. May 11, 2010I can’t say I have ever seen a longer list of websites with slide galleries on them as this one! I actually managed to go through them all and test out the slide shows and was really impressed with some of them.
I especially like James Lai creative, the way in which he has separate slideshows for each category but all still on that one page with changing text was really nice. (So nice in fact I may have to do something like that on my next website design!)
jQuery has definitely changed the way we go about designing sites, and I am glad that i’m having to use flash less and less. Having a jQuery slide gallery like these can make a site look great on its own.
Thanks for sharing the list, really some great inspiration from some of these sites to go forward with into my next project.
