Web design, much like any technology related field, requires those who make their living in it to stay on top of it’s ever evolving nature. To maintain a high level of work, a web designer must always be looking for ways to expand his or her repertoire. This can involve learning new techniques, finding new software to increase productivity, or staying up to date on the latest design trends. All of this can take a lot of time and effort, but the web design community if full of generous people who offer up their knowledge for free in the form of a blog.

    Some really great sites on this list, including some new blogs that I hadn’t seen before.

    I also have to agree that the Envato sites (PSD/NET/VectorTuts) are a really great resource, and can’t forget about SpoonGraphics, Web Designer Wall, oh and Freelance Folder is another great one for us freelance designers.

    Thanks for including me up there! I’m glad someone’s seeing where I’m going with Six Revisions – I do write development articles, but not overly complex stuff. My goal is for designers to pick up a few things about development, and developers pick up a few things about design. I’m a developer/designer, which is becoming more and more uncommon these days.
