Last week we showed you some good examples of White Usage in Web Design, and today, to go the opposite direction, we decided to gather some examples of dark colors in web design. Deciding when to go dark can be tricky, but the decision should always be about enhancing the content and the user experience. In this showcase you’ll see that the choice to use dark colors in each of these sites is appropriate and fitting.

Thanks for featuring O3! We’re honored to be a part of this list!
Wow.. Great list. I will add them up to my own collection, some are already added though. See my collection of websites with dark (black scheme) here, https://webdesigninspirationtoday.com/design/color/black
I thought using a dark theme will limit you in terms of choice in contrasting colors, concept and genre but the examples shows differently. My top choice is Paid to Exist.
Nice..Thanks to share..
Great samples – food for thought.
I have been hesitant with using dark colors. But looking at your examples, inspires me a lot to create designs using dark colors. The way you blended the dark colors with the light ones are really cool. I really like the contrast you put up on Studio MDS. More power to you!
i just love how Ermenegildo Zegna designed their site. slick, elegant, dark (energy saving) loving it!
