50 Inspiring Portfolio Designs

We are always looking for inspiration, specially when it comes to web design. We just can’t get tired of browsing around websites to check out layouts, colors, typography, styles and everything else that a cool site can offer. With this selection, I will show you 50 inspiring portfolio designs. Some of them you probably already know, others are new – some are minimalist, others are colorful and full of elements. The idea here is to show different ways to show your work online. As we can find lots of interesting portfolios out there, making a selection is a bit tough, so let me know if you want to see more of them…I’m pretty sure that we have enough material for 4 or 5 collections! And don’t forget to leave a comment with your portfolio.

The portfolio of Sean M Everett isn’t terribly inspiring. It’s nice and all, and a pretty bland use of the Shapeshifter template from ThemeForest.

Some of the sites are really nice, interesting though how a lot of their showcased work doesn’t meet the same bar. Content… content… content.

Very inspiring. Nice list. Someone touched on how the work of some of these designers don’t meet the same bar as their portfolio site. I think that’s very common in this industry. Many times clients will end up taking over and destroying the creative direction of a project. Happens all the time.

That suki.co.il site looks a little too inspired by metalabdesign.com to me… Like.. right down to the slogan (“We make interfaces” vs “We design interfaces”).

    Highly questionable…

I was just going to post the exact same comment… Hmmmm. The best part of this blatant ripoff is that they are pulling javascript right from the Metalab servers. The nerve!

I think you watered down the good ones by posting so many. (Just like in a personal portfolio, only show your best work)

    So it goes -dp

Some real gems and some that are very template-like or, as stated already by others, at least very much inspired by other websites.

    Still, nice collection!

few are inspiring but few were not inspiring at all… the first two inspired me they did something different… with their navigational menu’s.

    anyways… it was good effort.

Great list! Definitely got me thinking some more about how I want to do my own portfolio site. I must say, I’m a huge fan of Digital Mash’s Hero for Hire tagline. Brilliant!
