Icons come in many different sizes and styles. Some are flat and solid colors, while others can be very detailed. Icons in web design are often used to enhance content and navigation, but the ones in this post are so detailed that they could easily stand alone as beautiful works of art.     Nice collection. Good icon design is difficult and is something different then 512x512px sized photographs.

    It’s great to see how far things have come along since the 32×32 bitmapped icons from a few years ago. These are so realistic and detailed that it’s hard to call them just icons anymore.

    A lot of icon posts are adding the helix set to these lists, thing is, they are not available to anyone. I understand T1TO is a fantastic icon artist, but why put them in a “freebies” post when no one can use them?
