Google Chrome is quickly becoming a popular browser due to its speed and now its growing collection of extensions. Extensions are a great way to add functionality that doesn’t come packaged with the browser.

There are extensions for just about everything, but in this post we’re focusing on helping you save time in your everyday tasks. Web workers have to do a lot of little things throughout the day that seem to add up and take up a lot of time. So here are 10 Time Saving Google Chrome Extensions that can hopefully help you streamline your daily work flow.

Session Manager

Based on what kind of task I’m working on, I normally keep a set of websites and web apps open at all times. Session Manager lets you save sessions of your opened tabs and windows, and to quickly re-open them whenever you like.

Google Mail Checker

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time flipping over to check my GMail. Google Mail Checker displays the number of unread messages in your Google Mail inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox.

DayHiker

    I use a number of Google services (reader, voice, wave, gmail…) and have found OneNumber to be EXTREMELY useful (it’s not mentioned on this list). It’s one widget that checks those four Google services that I just mentioned.

    You have some other good suggestions here I’ll have to look into. Thanks!

    I started using Google Chrome about a year ago. Firefox is still my main browser, but I’ve always been impressed with just how fast the startup with Chrome is compared to Firefox. I still use FF because of the extensions, but when Chrome gets more, I’ll be jumping ships. A DubLi extension would be the main factor behind that decision.

    I love the Too Many Tabs Tool, it appeals to my sense of organisation and I have encouraged all my network of VA’s to take it on board.

    Do hope this doesn’t head the same way as the free Ning platform in the future.

    Even if I’m addicted to Firefox, i have Chrome too. I saw that sometimes, my projects are looking better in Chrome, so I think that soon I’ll be moving :) nice article by the way!

    I use a lots of these “add ons” but on Firefox… I like chrome, but I like more Firefox… I use Google Mail Checker on FF. It’s called gmail notifier :) And G shortener is great add-on :)))
