30 Breathtaking Examples of Bokeh Photography

The term Bokeh comes from a Japanese word that means “blur”. In photography, it’s used to describe the blur or the quality of the blur in the out-of-focus regions of an image. This can be achieved by taking pictures with a shallow depth-of-field. Bokeh is most noticed when points of light or highlights are part of the blur. They can become prominent and, even though out of focus, very important parts of a shot. For your inspiration, we’ve rounded up 30 breathtaking examples of bokeh photography.

Nice collection! The photgrapher(s?) who took these photos should consider going to DubLi and seeing if a deal to sell these could be struck?

wow! wonder if any one has shot a whole wedding using bokeh. Love to see it if they have. Maybe I should use it for one of my weddings coming up?

The shoot of the cup with the “bubbles” going out from it is my favorite. Looks like you’re drinking magic coffe.

Ha ha. I love the one with the bug. And I don’t think you are right Melissa. Some of them are DEFINETELY manipulated!
    Take care.
