The HybridConf international web design and development conference is back and coming to Dublin, Ireland as of August 20th.
This inspirational two day event focuses primarily on bringing designers and web developers together with entrepreneurial-minded personalities to form a relaxing, highly interactive environment for learning, collaboration, and of course networking.
This year’s HybridConf event will include a roster of 15 different speakers from assorted areas who talk about real-world issues, motivation, communication, new products, design concepts and idea creation.
The event will also feature plenty of time for friendly chatter among attendees and speakers alike. There will be several delicious breakfast and lunch events during the two day conference and a finale party in which all attendees can really relax with drinks, games, and interesting conversation.
Tickets are still available as of this writing and the event itself will be held at several different locations depending on specific events.
The main speaking events will take place at The Helix, a conference venue in the heart of Dublin City University. All talks at The Helix will be held in “The Theatre” which has a large stage and plenty of seats, along with a foyer for breaks.
An annual bowling event for all participants will be held at the Leisureplex Coolock on the evening of Thursday the 20th and the entire HybridConf event will be finished with a party on the top two floors of the Bad Bobs bar with free drinks alongside entertainment and games.
Some of the speakers for this year will consist of:
Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Co with a talk about the cutthroat world of graphic design and state-of-the-art multimedia techniques.
Mr. Bingo with a rather interesting kick-off presentation about making a rap video.
Des Traynor, Co-founder of customer interaction platform Intercom and the social networking search engine Bigulo.
Jake Giltsoff with a presentation on how designers and developers can shape the future of typography.
Karolina Szczur who’s the lead designer and developer at the real-time development agency &yet, plus former editor of Smashing Magazine.
Bastian Allgeier with a talk about how to make your life as a freelancer much harder than it should be in every way possible.
Dave Kellam with a “pocket talk” about Math and Poetry.
And a fascinating discussion on designing robots for real people by Dr. Ayanna Howard, founder of Zyrobotics – a maker of games and smart toys for children.
There will also be a number of other speakers at the HybridConf conference and you can see the full schedule of events from different experts to judge interest for yourself.
