The contest is now over and the judging has begun.
As promised, here is an update. A few days ago we announced that we’re giving a new WDL Premium member the chance to win a brand new Macbook Pro. So far we’ve had 90 new members sign up out of the 150 member cut off limit. That’s well over half. WDL Premium is a bargain, and we love making it even better by giving away great prizes. How to Win the Macbook Pro
To be eligible to win the Macbook Pro, you have to follow 2 simple steps:
Step 1 Sign up for a WDL Premium membership. Only the next 150 new members will be eligible starting today, September 7, 2009. We will keep you posted on the progress.
Step 2 Send out an update on twitter to help spread the word about WDL Premium. At the end of the tweet include this hashtag: #wdlmacbookpro followed by your new WDL Premium username. The person with the best tweet will be declared the winner. Tweets will be judged on the best promotion of WDL Premium within the 140 character limitation of twitter.

You call it a contest, but by law a contest must involve some type of skill which will determine a winner.
This is not a sweepstakes either, although it involves choosing a winner by chance.
Because you require a “consideration,” (purchasing a premium membership), this is a lottery, which is illegal under federal and state laws, except for state-sanctioned lotteries.
Although the Internet is global, if any of the entrants come from the United States, you are breaking the law.
@Mary Ihla: Thanks for your concern, but this is a contest of skill. We are judging the tweets. This is stated in the rules. We are NOT choosing the winners randomly.
I’m confused. Are you picking the best tweet and declaring them the winner OR are you choosing the winner at random?
@Jason: We are judging the best tweet. There was a typo in my previous comment which is now corrected.
Apparently, I misread the directions at first, so I sent out my first tweet without my username therefore I resent it with my username again 🙂 Hopefully that should not be a problem.
