Inspiring Examples of Color in Web Design: Greens and Blues

Last week we showcased 13 Beautiful Examples of Bold Colors in Web Design and we received several emails asking us to put together a list with specific colors. So today, based on our requests, we put together a collection of websites using greens and blues as their main color.

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. While blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. All colors have meaning. So when choosing the color palette for your next project, this is something to consider.

I believe my site design is fairly unique in that i use more of the horizontal space than most. My inner/deeper pages are designed to look like pages of an open book and this is the reason. Please have a look and tell me what you think using the contact on my main page of the encyclopedia http://www.earth-site.co.uk
