These are amazing. Grungy backgrounds are being used more and more on professional designs too. It can make the major content area look even cleaner.

It should be noted that a lot (most?) of deviant art work is Creative Commons licensed which may carry a number of clauses that may have an impact on using it in various ways on commercial projects.
