Codeply Playground for Responsive Frontend Development

The concept of frontend development in the browser would’ve seemed crazy just a decade ago. But now with apps like CodePen, jsFiddle, and Thimble, this almost seems like the norm.

Codeply is another editor which covers a niche area of browser-based development: responsive design.

Mobile responsive websites were also completely irrelevant(or nonexistent) 10 years ago. Now it seems like every website must be responsive to accommodate the rising number of mobile devices with full Internet access. So how can a frontend developer learn to master these responsive techniques?

By launching a new Codeply editor you can choose from a number of responsive platforms like Bootstrap or Foundation. This offers a more nimble GUI for playing with such libraries to learn how they operate via internal classes and such.

While this is possible on other sites like CodePen you don’t always have a clean GUI to learn the ins-and-outs of each framework. The beauty of Codeply is that it’s a traditional web-based IDE but it’s also a learning tool.

By coding your own sample layout you can test how it looks with auto-resize buttons that fit certain device widths. Codeply really is the #1 online IDE for learning how to build fully responsive websites.

You can use the site without an account but to save anything you build you’ll need to sign up(it’s free). Or if you want to see what other people have built check out the community plys sorted by tags & responsive frameworks.
