New WDL Premium Partner: Iconshock – Suggest an Icon Set
We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with Iconshock to bring our premium members a new icon set each month. Not only will these icons be of the highest quality, but they will also be designed based on what you suggest. That’s right, you get to tell us each month what type of icons you want, and Iconshock is going to create them.
If you’re unfamiliar with Iconshock, they do some amazing work. Here’s a quick look at some of their icons.
Here’s how it will work
Each month we will put up a new post, on which you will leave a comment suggesting ideas for the icon set. For example, you might suggest e-commerce, social media, etc. The most popular idea will be created. So to get things started, go ahead and leave your suggestions on this post so we can get the ball rolling on the first icon set. Even if you’re not a premium member, we would still love to hear your suggestions.

August 13, 2009I think an icon set with an organic or green theme. Recycle symbols, Xed out GMOs, Al Gore, a Prius… stuff like that.

August 13, 2009Can’t you guys partner with another company that designs icons instead of this one? Many of their icons are not designed at smaller sizes (thus look blurry) and are just shrunk down.

August 13, 2009We use always Plus icon for Add, Magnify lenses icon for search etc etc, all this are very common now. but now we need something new for common things. Something different

September 13, 2009Web app icons would be a good choice. I know there are lots of them around the web but it doesn’t look that cool to use some overused icons in your apps/designs. Something special for WDL Premium members would be definitely appreciated.
